Odoo ERP in Qatar: Implementation, Accounting and Tax Workflows
Doha-based Odoo implementation for trading, construction, hospitality, healthcare, real estate and professional services firms.
Tax status in Qatar
Tax services in Qatar run through the General Tax Authority’s Dhareeba portal (also written Dhareba). Qatar has no VAT in force today. On 6 May 2026 the Cabinet approved a draft e-invoicing law, and the technical model and dates have not yet been published.
That gives Qatari companies a useful window. The rules for structured invoices are still to come, but the work that will matter is already known: clean customer and supplier records, consistent tax and product data, and one system that issues every invoice. We help you prepare all three now, so you are not rebuilding your setup under a deadline later.
We track the published rules and confirm the current position with you at your assessment. Status as of September 2026.
What we set up in Odoo
- Multi-currency accounting in Qatari riyal and the currencies you trade in, with a chart of accounts your auditors recognise.
- Sales and CRM: quotations, orders, pricing rules and customer follow-up.
- Inventory and purchasing: warehouses, reorder rules, landed costs and supplier management.
- HR and payroll processes for your team.
- Project and contract tracking for construction and service businesses.
- Reports and dashboards for management and for your auditors.
- Arabic and English documents, including quotations and invoices.
Who this is for
Doha-based Odoo implementation for trading and distribution, construction, hospitality, healthcare, real estate and professional services firms. Companies usually come to us for one of three reasons: they have outgrown spreadsheets and separate accounting software, they need stock and project costs to feed accounting automatically, or they want their finance data ready before e-invoicing rules are published.
Local support in Doha
Our consultants are based in Doha. Workshops and user training are held with your team, in English or Arabic, and post-launch support does not depend on a ticket queue in another time zone. Odoo can run in the cloud or on your own servers, and we recommend one or the other based on your security, data-residency and budget needs.
Getting ready for e-invoicing in Qatar
While the technical model is still to be published, these steps are safe and useful whatever the final rules say:
- Give every customer a complete, consistent record: legal name, address and tax identifiers where they exist.
- Standardise product codes, units and descriptions.
- Issue every invoice from one system, not from templates.
- Keep credit notes linked to the original invoice.
- Archive invoices and supporting documents in a searchable place.
An illustrative scenario
This is a general example, not a specific client. A Doha contractor tracks projects in spreadsheets, buys materials on email approvals and enters costs into accounting once a month. We set up Odoo projects, purchasing and accounting in one database, so approved purchase orders and site costs flow into project margins automatically. Management sees profit by project while the work is still under way, and the auditor sees a single trail from purchase order to invoice.
Working in more than one country?
Many Qatar companies also operate in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait or Oman. We can set up multi-company Odoo so each entity keeps its own books and tax rules. Book a free assessment to plan your Qatar rollout.

Frequently asked questions
Does Qatar have VAT?
Not today. Qatar has no VAT in force. We build your Odoo tax setup so it can be extended if the rules change.
Is e-invoicing required in Qatar?
A draft e-invoicing law was approved by the Cabinet in May 2026. The technical model and dates have not been published yet, so we help you prepare data and processes while the rules are finalised.
What is Dhareeba?
Dhareeba is the General Tax Authority’s online portal for tax services in Qatar. Odoo does not replace it, but clean, well-structured accounting records make your filings and reviews simpler.
Can Odoo run in Arabic and English?
Yes. Odoo supports Arabic including right-to-left layout, and we can set up both languages for your team and your customer documents.
Do you support us after go-live?
Yes. Our consultants are based in Doha, and we provide training and post-launch support so your team is confident using the system.
