Kuwait’s tax position
Kuwait has no VAT today. One July 2026 report says VAT is not part of the 2026 to 2030 fiscal plan and is unlikely before 2028, and no e-invoicing mandate has been announced. That does not mean your ERP can ignore tax. Companies that sell into Saudi Arabia, the UAE or Oman already deal with VAT and e-invoicing on those sales, and Kuwaiti rules may change later.
We therefore build Odoo so tax can be switched on later without redoing your setup. Products, customers, price lists and accounts are structured cleanly from day one, and taxes are configured in a way that can be extended.

Migration from your current system
Most Kuwaiti businesses that come to us already run something: an older ERP, an accounting package, or a set of spreadsheets. We plan the migration in stages. First we decide what data is worth moving: customers, suppliers, products, opening balances and open orders. Then we clean it, load it into a test database and let your team check it before the real cutover. Historical transactions can stay in the old system as a read-only archive if that is simpler.

Does Kuwait have VAT?
